FAQ

Several factors should be considered when choosing the size of a storage unit for your needs.  Mainly it comes down to how large of items and how many items will be stored.

Pricing?

Sterling Storage has straight forward pricing.  No move-in fees or administration fees.

Prices are currently fixed until at least 2027.  Meaning you will not be surprised in a couple of months with a large rent increase.

Are there items that can Not be stored?

Items that may pose harm to people or the structure can not be stored.

This includes explosives, flammable liquids, acids, and caustic substances.

Perishable items or items that emit noxious odors.

How long are the leases?

Sterling leases are month to month ending at the end of the month.

How should items be stored in the storage unit?

Small items should be packed in containers.

We recommend plastic bins such as Rubbermaids.

The bins should be labeled indicating their content.

Protect delicate and fragile items with bubble wrap or other packing material.

Use packing tape to hold the packing material in place.

Store items off of the floor to prevent wicking moisture form the concrete.

        Pallets work very well.

Place heavier, sturdier items at the bottom and lighter items on top.

Keep a detailed list of the items which are stored in the storage unit.

This may include serial and model numbers, as well as pictures.
